PARIJAT DESAI DANCE COMPANY

SEEKING CONTEMPORARY DANCERS

Parijat Desai Dance Company is seeking 3-4 versatile, intelligent dancers with strong technique for paid performances in Los Angeles, Houston, and New York in 2007, and to work with the company ongoing.

Ideal candidates have: a capacity for dynamic, full-bodied movement (strong modern/postmodern or ballet technique preferred) articulate arms/hands experience with percussive rhythmic footwork ability to grasp principles of multiple movement forms.

PDDC performs contemporary choreography drawing on Indian classical and modern dance, as well as yoga and martial art. Rehearsals begin in November 2006.
