Wonderfully unexpectedly, the folks at Sholay Productions have offered to put part of the proceeds from their upcoming Desilicious party toward PDDC! Here's how it works:

Mention Parijat Desai Dance Company at the door, and get in for $10 all night (regular admission $15). $5 of your cover will be donated to the dance company.

Then you'll be required to dance. Ok, that's wishful thinking. Actually, I'll be required to dance. Read on ~

From Sholay Productions:
We're putting a queer twist on Indian and Pakistani Independence day, so
join us for two free-flowing floors of Desi decadence! Upstairs, Ashu
Rai and Bobby spin Bollywood, Bhangra, 80s, and House beats. Downstairs,
the Curry Club crew adds Caribbean flavah to the mix with Soca, Chutney,
and Reggae tracks by Suraj and Vish.

At midnight, dancer/choreographer Parijat Desai takes the stage offering
a funky-fresh, hip-hop twist on classical bharata natyam.
